ABOUT ME

Hi !

I’m Hwee Peng, (you can call me Hwee) the founder of Neuro-Affirmative Network. I’m originally from Singapore and moved to Perth, Australia in 2011 to start a family.

As the mother of a neurodivergent son, I’m passionate about mental health, Diversity & Inclusion and special needs education. In 2021, I was approached to join my son’s special needs primary school board and the following year, I was offered the Chairperson role.

I am also a certified Mental Health First Aider.

In 2024, I published my first book “How to Be a Neuro-Affirmative Parent”; which is now an award-winning and Amazon Number 1 bestseller.

I was awarded scholarship by ADHD Works to study Neuro-Affirmative Certification Programme.

I am a coffee lover and enjoys dog sitting during my free time !

Our Vision

We want to establish a strong neuro-affirmative network that can connect and support diversity. This include (not limit to) education and acceptance that some people just oh well, have extra needs.

This means advocating the ecosystem from all aspects of life, such as from home owners to tenants, instructor to learners, employers to employees, schools to students, peer to peer, carers to kids and many more.

I would love to help the neurodivergent community to find their new path. See how we can work together to connect the dots !
