FAQs

So, What does Neuro-affirmative Mean?

The word “Neuro” means brain and “affirmative” means being supportive or encouraging. In short, neuro-affirmative means being supportive and accepting on how every brain works in their own ways.

whAT are the main challenges faced in Neurodivergent community?

The world is build for neurotypicals; just like how the world is built for right-handers. It seems hard for a left hander to cut a piece of paper when given a right-hander scissors. The same analogy applies to neurodivergence.

The hard truth is neurodivergent individuals can struggle in many aspects of everyday living and executive functions even at plain sight. We focus on 2 main pillars, employment and independent living. See “How can we help” for more information.

DO YOU DO PRO BONO WORK OR CHARITY PROJECTS?

Yes, I am always happy to give back to the community but it is only on case-to-case basis.

how can we help?

Let us know if you have some incredible neuro-affirmative resources or recommendations that we can use on this space. We want to build a neuro-affirmative directory where neurodivergence are welcomed and understood — of course, celebrate neurodiversity wins!

I am currently opening spots for paid training neuro-affirming workplace practices.

what is your wildest dream?

In my book, “How To Be A Neuro-Affirmative Parent”, I wrote that my dream is if I had all the money in the world, I would love to have private jet in every country so every neurodivergent person can travel safely and free from judgment. I would build theme parks, schools, hospitals, and restaurants that cater exclusively to all neurodivergent. Staff members would be trained to deal with every situation with empathy and respect.
